On May 17 the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade opened the 4th Licencing Round for the Faroe Islands. The round will be open for 9 months and will close on 17 February 2018. The licensing area is comprised of the north-western part of the Faroe-Shetland Basin. In connection with the opening of the round a Virtual Data Room using Zebra Data's EZDataRoom service will be launched and will stay open during the entire period.
The VDR database will include basic cultural data, potential field data, released 2D and 3D seismic data together with offshore well data within the Faroe area. The data can be obtained, for a copy cost, by sending a request to Jarðfeingi at email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
The database of released data comprises approximately 45,000 km of 2D seismic data, 9000 km2 of 3D seismic data and 12 wells – 9 offshore and 3 onshore wells.
Additionally relinquishment reports as well as non peer reviewed Sindri reports will also be available.
